Wednesday, 21st July
2.30pm, Care Centre, St Mary’s Church
An afternoon of entertainment for the village’s senior residents by a group of local amateur and professional entertainers.
Join in with us, or simply sit back and enjoy music and song from a bygone age.
Are we downhearted? No! You’ll never walk alone, so pack up your troubles and come into the garden, Maude. Can you smell those roses of Picardy? Let’s sit under the apple tree, over there, and stare agog at our neighbour’s giant marrow. What a beauty, I’ve never seen one as big as that before! (I told ‘em but they didn’t believe me.) And should it rain pennies from heaven, you beautiful doll, we can shelter underneath the arches and sing ‘Que sera, sera.’ Have I told you that you’re my sunshine? You made me love you, my rose of England. I’m yours.
No charge – all welcome!
Bring a memory, a friendly smile and a song in your heart!
